Craven Museum
Location:
In the Town Hall, at the top of Skipton High Street. Upstairs, although
theres a lift for accessibility. The museum has bones, skulls, a printing
press, loads of geology stuff, grandfather clocks, pianos, old boneshaker
bicycles... and lots more stuff. There's a PC workstation in there with
a kind of interactive geology/history lesson running on it, and a collection
of old photos to browse through too. There is a new exhibition gallery
on the ground floor, with changing exhibitions throughout the year, same
hours as the Museum.

October to March inclusive:
Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, 12pm to 4pm
Sat 10am to 4pm
April to September inclusive:
Mon, Wed, Thurs,Frid, Sat 10am to 4pm
Closed Tues and Sun all year round
Exhibitions:
Temporary exhibitions range from community projects to exhibitions on
loan from larger museums. Phone 706407 for details and to see what's on
currently.
Facilities:
Chair lift. Gift shop.
Museum Friends:
There is a Friends organisation that supports the work of the Museum.
They arrange summer field trips and winter talks. Contact the Museum for
