Ilkley, West Yorkshire

9 miles away from Skipton.

Once a Roman fort town, it was a fashionable spa resort in Victorian times. The famous Ilkley Moor, and the Cow and Calf rocks are excellent places to enjoy a ramble. Now there are lots of interesting shops, and the famous Betty's Tea Room on the Grove.

The Manor House is one of the oldest buildings in Ilkley standing on the remains of Olicana, a Roman Fort. Now filled with relics of the past, and interesting displays, this free attraction is well worth a visit.
