The SkiptonWeb photo gallery contains only photos that we ourselves have taken, or that people have submitted to us (thanks Crag Face). The vast majority of them are available as high resolution files at 2272x1704 pixels, 24bit colour. That's about 2 or 3 MB per photo.

The SkiptonWeb gallery consists mainly of modern photos. If you're looking for old historic photos of Skipton then you really should try the Rowley Collection website at http://www.rowleycollection.co.uk - which has in excess of 560 of them.

In every case photographs within this gallery remain copyright of the original photographer. Each photograph is the intellectual property of its author.

All photos have a clearly displayed credit saying 'taken by'. The conditions of use of photos in this gallery vary depending on who the photos were taken by. There are three possible cases, as follows:

1. If the photos are credited as taken by Skiptonweb

You may use the photos in any way you like, as long as you make sure a clear text credit, linked to http://www.skiptonweb.co.uk/ is displayed with each photo you use.

Want to put them on your website? No problem. Want to print them out and stick them on your wall? Go for it. Want to insert them in your corporate powerpoint presentation? Carry on. Want to print them onto T-shirts and then sell the T-shirts in a major High St chain store? Very enterprising. Fine with us.

Just give us a credit and a link.

2. If the photos are credited as taken by CragFace

Photographs may not be used for any purpose whatsoever without prior written permission of the author. Commercial use of photographs will require the explicit consent of the author to do so. Any infringement found will be dealt with accordingly.
