Christmas Lights Appeal

Yorkshire & England cricket legend Freddie Trueman will be turning on Skipton's Christmas Lights at a Switch-on Ceremony in Craven Court Shopping Centre on Saturday 26th November at 5.30pm. All are welcome.

Due to the fact that the lights which usually illuminate the High Street and Swadford Street had to be sent away for refurbishment this year, the Council is currently about £3,000 short of the target necessary to put them up.

The Town Council have guaranteed to get the festive lights display up this year, but will have to raise funds to meet the shortfall. Councillors will be out on the streets collecting for the Appeal and organising fundraising stalls at various local events - the first of which, is a special Christmas Lights Party Night on Sunday 27th November at Strata Nightclub.

Please give generously to our Appeal and light up our town!
