SCAD Marjorie Charlesworth Canal Boat

Skipton and Craven Action for Disabilty (SCAD) are aiming to raise £100,000 for a new canal boat to replace the ageing 'Marjorie Charlesworth'.

The current boat, bought 12 years ago, is crewed by volunteers and regularly cruises along the Leeds Liverpool Canal from Skipton, carrying people with disability and mobility problems. The boat is specially equipped for this purpose. Repairs for the current boat would be so expensive that a new replacement is being sought.

SCAD is a small local charity that relies entirely on donations.
