This page is a quick introduction
to (and help file on) the SkiptonWeb interactive Flash map of
Skipton. Screenshots below demonstrate the use of the map. |
|
| |
 |
The Interactive map opens up centred
on the High St, Skipton. The default zoom level is 100%. The
dark green control module at the bottom left of the map window
is used to control the map. |
 |
You can zoom out using the mouse
to click on the grey [-] zoom button on the control module.
Pressing the [-] key on your keyboard also zooms out. |
 |
You can likewise zoom in using the
mouse to click on the grey [+] zoom button on the control module.
Pressing the [+] key on your keyboard also zooms in. |
 |
Keep clicking to zoom in further.
There is no limit to how far you can zoom into the map.
You can click the [Reset] button on the control module to re-centre the map and set the zoom level back to 100%. |
 |
Using the mouse you can drag the
map around the screen. Scroll up, down, left and right. Simply
left-click and drag anywhere on the map. Your keyboard arrow
keys also scroll up, down, left and right. |
 |
Selecting Street Finder from the control module menu opens
a scrolling listbox of all 290 streets in the town of Skipton,
listed A-Z. Clicking on any street name will zoom you straight
to that street, at those map co-rdinates.
As far as we are aware, every street in Skipton has been
mapped. Let us know if you come across (or live on!) a street
that isn't on the map, and we'll stick it on asap.

the town. Click on any arrow symbol to see a quick thumbnail
