- Not run by the same people as Sam Houstons anymore - even better than before - the food is excellent the service and staff are wonderful I certainly wouldn't eat anywhere else

- I went there with GF, June 2004, they had a Jazz evening on mid-week. A duo with keyboards and double bass played nice instrumental jazz , and we had three courses from a set menu, for £12 each, plus £9 for a decent bottle of house red. Me, I thought the food was excellent. GF approved, but said presentation could have been less dated. I have absolutely no idea what she means by this. We both agree the food was outstanding value. Eating a la carte you'd pay about £11 just for the main course. Decor is brighter, seems less intimate that it used to be, apart from that, cannot complain at all.

- Me and the wife (Jean) went to brodys for our anniversary. I went for the muscles and the wife chose the home made soup for starters. Both dishes were excellent. For our main course I had a fillet steak and jean had guinea fowl, both served with lovely fresh vegitables. Both dishes were delicious and very filling. Jean and I were both too full too try any of their delicious looking desserts, however we did manage Coffee and liquers.
The atmosphere and service was perfect. A very realaxing and enjoyable evening!

- Brody's has now closed. The premises are now a chinese restaurant.
